Copycat McDonald’s Waffle Fries Recipe
McDonald’s Canada has been in the news of late because it just introduced – wait for it – waffle fries; a blend of two ultimate fast food favourites. These delicious fries are lightly battered waffle cut French fries and are a part of McDonald’s Canada holiday line-up.
Sadly, we can’t afford a trip to Canada to stuff our faces with these delicious looking fries. Instead, we’re settling for the next best thing; a copycat recipe. To make these, you’ll need a mandolin, a cooking utensil used for cooking and slicing which has a waffle attachment Serve these delicious fries as a snack with ketchup.

Instructions
- Heat four inches of oil to 350 degrees F.
- Choose the waffle blade of the mandolin and cut the potatoes into small waffles.
- Fry the potatoes until golden brown.
- Lay on top of paper towels.
- Toss the waffle fries with salt.
- Serve and enjoy.
