Creepy Candy Apples

Ingredients
- A little unsalted butter for greasing
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup Water
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp black gel food coloring
- 6 medium apples

Instructions
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and grease it with butter.
- Over low heat, mix the sugar, water, corn syrup and food colouring together.
- Turn the flame up to high and boil the mixture.
- Stick a candy thermometer into the mixture until the temperature reaches 300 degrees.
- While waiting for the candy to boil, skewer the apples halfway with wooden sticks.
- Once the candy reaches 300 degrees, remove it from the heat and quickly stick the apples into it.
- Put the apples onto the baking sheet and allow them to completely cool.
- Enjoy!
