Dahi Chicken Curry Recipe
Love Indian spices, but can’t handle the heat? Well, you’re not alone! And thankfully, for all of us with weak spice buds, there exists the perfect curry recipe that packs delicious Indian flavours and doesn’t leave a blazing trail along your tongue either! Behold, the creamy and super delicious dahi chicken curry (of course, you can replace the chicken with other meats or vegetarian options).
As the name suggests, this recipe is centered around the usage of dahi (yogurt) as the main ingredient, which not only tones down the piquancy but also add a palatable flavor to the preparation. This dahi chicken is very easy to make and uses very little ingredients, so you can wow your palate with minimum effort! Now who doesn’t like that? Served with steamed rice, plain pulao, or even flatbreads, this chicken makes for a delicious meal!

- 300 gram Boneless chicken cut into small pieces
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 3 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 cup curd
- 1/2 cup Cream
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 2 tsp kasoori methi
- 2 Green chilies
- salt to taste
- water as required
Ingredients

- Heat oil in a wok or heavy bottomed pan.
- Fry the chicken pieces till they are golden in colour. Add the ginger-garlic paste, sauté till it coats the chicken well.
- Then add all other ingredients, except the water.
- Cover the lid and allow it to cook on a slow heat for about 20 minutes or till the chicken turns tender.
- Add desired amount of water for the gravy and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice or breads.
