Enid Blyton Strawberry Jam Recipe
The characters in Enid Blyton were always, always eating (when they weren’t solving mysteries or getting into trouble at boarding school), which is why we’ve been sharing a recipe series inspired by her books. We’ve already shared recipe for ginger biscuits, boiled eggs, pork pies and British scones. Today, we’re turning the focus to homemade strawberry jam, which was inspired by a scene from ‘The Mystery of The Strange Bundle’:
“…was a very fine tea- hot, new-made scones, sweet and buttery, strawberry jam, bread and butter, and potted salmon and shrimp paste, small ginger buns, shortbread biscuits, and, of course, the large chocolate sponge, which had a thick cream filling.”
Doesn’t that strawberry jam sound great? Enjoy it on some scones or bread for high tea.
