Glee Fondue Recipe
It’s been a while since Glee ended but I still find myself watching reruns once in a while. With its quirky characters with their powerful voices, witty dialogue and important social statements, it’s no surprise that Glee became the massive success it was, both among teenagers and adults.
A favourite Glee character among many is Brittany; while at the beginning of the show she seems endearingly dumb, we later learn she’s a genius that can solve immensely complex mathematical problems. When she’s not doing that, or talking to her cat, Lord Tubbington or dancing up a storm, Brittany can be found hosting a talk show; Fondue For Two, which is another example of her genius; what better way to get people to open up than over a bubbling pot of cheese? Here’s a look at her show:
That fondue looks delicious doesn’t it? Well, at least until Lord Tubbington starts eating out of it…
Fondue For You
Cats eating cheese aside, we’re sharing a classic fondue recipe in a tribute to Brittany.
Fondue is a Swiss, Italian and French dish of melted cheese that is served in a communal pot over medium heat so it remains warm and velvety through the meal. It is eaten by dipping bread or other accompaniments into it using a fondue fork. Over the years, fondue has come to refer to any dish served in a communal pot, which involved dipping ingredients into the dish in the pot; other popular fondue variants are chocolate and caramel.
Serve the fondue as a main for a family diner – make it a game to see who can come up with the best accompaniments! We love fondue with bread, roasted vegetables and potatoes.
