The Great Gatsby Mint Julep Recipe
It’s almost (almost) the weekend and we need a little liquid courage to get us through the next couple of days. Where better to take drinks inspiration the from The Great Gatsbv, set in the decadent prohibition era where it seems like no one goes to work?
Mint Juleps and The Great Gatsby
In the novel, Daisy enjoys some mint Juleps in a hotel room in New York while getting into an argument with Tom and Gatsby.
The Mint Julep combines bourbon, water, crushed ice and fresh mint. It’s especially popular in South America and often served at the famous Kentucky Derby.
Have the mint julep as a drink pre-dinner or with dinner, or simply with an afternoon snack; we don’t judge!
