The Hunger Games Lamb Stew Recipe
In The Hunger Games, many of the participants discuss their favourite food and meals, which are all shaped by the Districts they’re from. Understandably, Katniss, who is from District 12, one of the poorest districts in Panem, says her favourite dish is lamb stew; a delicacy in a district where meat is uncommon.
Katniss’ Feast
In describing the feast, which includes lamb stew, Katniss says
“Before I can stop him, he’s out in the rain, then handing something in to me. A silver parachute attached to a basket. I rip it open at once and inside there’s a feast– fresh rolls, goat cheese, apples, and best of all, a tureen of that incredible lamb stew on wild rice.”
Is you mouth watering yet? Why not try making a similar lamb stew at home with this recipe? Serve it with wild rice as a main course along with fresh rolls, goat’s cheese and apples for the ultimate Hunger Games inspired feast.
