Jughead’s Guacamole Pizza Recipe
Everyone enjoyed reading Archie Comics when they were teenagers. Some of us still curl up with one or two on weekends as a guilty pleasure now and then. Ask any millennial or even slightly older folks who their favorite character was and you’ll have a variety of answers. Some like Archie for his all-round goofiness and appeal. Some like Veronica for her glamour or Betty for her kindness. How about us? I think you know; we relate most to Jughead for his never-ending hunger and love for food.
Jughead’s Eats
It’s hard to say what Jughead’s favorite food is. He can be found shoveling anything down his throat from pizzas to hotdogs to hamburgers to sundaes – Pop Tate’s is nearly wiped clean everyday thanks to him.
One particular dish which we saw him enjoying particularly stuck with us:
Now doesn’t that look delicious? Here’s a recipe inspired by it; curl up with your significant other this weekend to enjoy it for a romantic lunch or dinner. Or, you know, polish it all off yourself. You know Jughead would prefer that.

- Pre-prepared pizza dough
- 2 portobello mushrooms slices
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- tsp ½salt
- 3 large avocados
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 ½me
- 1 small tomato diced
- ½ red onion diced
- Salt
Ingredients
To make the gucamole

- Cut the avocados and take out the pulp.
- Mash the pulp until smooth and stir in the lime, garlic and salt.
- Stir in the tomatoes and onion and refrigerate until cool.
- Preheat an oven to 425F.
- Combine the olive oil, salt, vinegar and garlic and coat the mushrooms with this mixture.
- Bake the mushrooms in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Roll out your pizza dough and coat with olive oil.
- Bake for ten minutes until golden.
- Spread the guacamole across the curst and top with the mushroom.
- Serve and enjoy!
