Kalmi Vada Recipe

Ingredients
- cup ½Chana Dal soaked for 3 hours and drained
- 1 tsp ginger-green chill paste
- cup ¼onions chopped finely
- tsp ½chili powder
- ½ tbsp. roasted and crushed coriander
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- tsp ½salt
- Oil for deep frying

Instructions
- Add the chana dal and the water to a mixer and blend until you get a coarse mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl and stir in all the other ingredients.
- Divide the mixture into ten and shape each portion into a flat vadas
- Heat the oil in a deep pan
- Once the oil is hot, fry the vadas two at a time on a medium flame until they turn golden brown
- Serve hot!

Serve the vadas with green chutney.
