- 800 grams Rice flour
- 150 grams moong dal
- 50 grams Bengal gram
- 2 tbsp Salt
- 150 grams butter
- 1/4 tsp sesame

Instructions
- Heat the Bengal gram and moong dal in a pan.
- Grind them into a powder in a grinder.
- Add the rice flour to this mixture.
- Heat up the butter and knead it into the flour.
- Add the salt and sesame.
- Add a sufficient amount of water to the flour and knead until it becomes a dough.
- In a deep pan, heat up a large quantity of oil (enough for deep frying).
- Place the dough in a kuzhal and place it over the oil to fry the manakkombhu.
- Deep fry until golden.
- Serve hot!

A kuzhal is an instrument used to give the manakkombhu its shape while frying.
