For the cake
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large egg whites
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups cake flour*
- 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla bean powder
- 3/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2/3 cup Sprinkles
- 1 tbsp Sprinkles
For the frosting
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp light corn syrup
- 3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 tsp malt powder
- 3 tbsp whole milk

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Grease two 8-inch cake pans with cooking spray, line with parchment paper and lightly grease the paper as well.
- Combine unsalted butter, granulated sugar and cream on a medium speed for 5 minutes in a mixer with paddle attachment.
- Once the mix doubles up and is light and fluffy, lower the mixer speed and and add the eggs one by one.
- Mix the vegetable oil and vanilla extract in another bowl and add to the mixer.
- Once incorporated, turn off the mixer.
- Whisk cake flour, baking powder, vanilla bean powder, kosher salt in a mixing bowl.
- Start the mixer on low speed and add the flour mixture to the egg mixture in three addition.
- Alter between adding 1 cup milk to the mixer twice so you're starting and ending with the flour mix being added.
- Once incorporated, turn off the mixer.
- In the smooth batter, fold in 2/3 cups of sprinkles using a spatula.
- Put half batter in each cake pan and add the 1 tbsp sprinkles on each cake.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes and check with a toothpick if the center is cooked.
- Transfer the cakes onto a wire rack and cool for about 15 minutes.
- The cakes now need be removed from the pans and cooled completely.
- Using the same mixer, combine cream cheese and vanilla extract on a low speed.
- Increasing the speed to high, add unsalted butter and incorporate that as well.
- On a low speed, add unsweetened natural cocoa powder and light corn syrup.
- Add confectioners' sugar and malt powder till the mixture till the mixture is smooth.
- Now add the milk one tablespoon at a time till its incorporated.
- Put the mixer on high speed for a minute till the frosting is light and fluffy.
- Frost the cake once it's cooled down completely and serve.
