Ingredients
- 2 cups Rice flour
- 1 cup Gram Flour
- 2 Tsp red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 Pinches of Asafoetida
- 1 Tsp Sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
- Oil for deep frying

Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add rice flour and gram flour.
- Mix well and then add the red chilli powder, salt, sesame seeds, butter and asafoetida.
- Mix well and slowly add water and knead.
- In a deep frying pan, add oil
- Once the oil is heated. Take a part of the dough and put it through the murukku press (using the saraai pokuda attachment)
- Create a round layer in the hot oil.
- When one side is done, gently flip over using a ladle.
- When the oil stops sizzling, it means the pakoda is done. Remove and drain excess oil in paper towels.
- Fry the remaining dough and serve hot with chai
