Star Wars Rey’s Portion Bread Recipe

Star Wars fans were recently all abuzz when the official Star Wars website released an original recipe for Rey’s Portion Bread, which will allow fans to have a literal taste of a galaxy far far away.

About Rey

Rey is a female scavenger that is affiliated with the Resistance and lived on the desert planet Jakku. While she is hunting for Luke Skywalker, she discovers she possesses Force-Sensitivity.

Rey’s Portion Bread

While living on Jakku, Rey survives on Potion Bread, which magically turns green if you add water to it.

Capitalising on the popularity of Portion Bread, the Star Wars website got food writer Jenn Fujikawa to create a recipe for it, which is as follows.

Ingredients

• 1/2 tsp vegetable oil
• 4 tbsp cake flour*
• 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
• 1/2 tsp matcha powder
• 1/4 tsp baking powder
• 1 pinch of Salt
• 2 tbsp Milk
• 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Grease a mug with the oil.
2. Combine all the other ingredients aside from the milk and vanilla extract in the mug.
3. Stir well.
4. Stir in the milk and vanilla and microwave on high for 45 seconds.
5. Take the bread out of the microwave and allow it to cool.
6. Serve.
