Anyone who has ever watched Parks & Recreation will know that Ron Swanson is a simple man; all he requires is a good helping of breakfast foods, meat, whiskey and a couple of pretty, dark haired women.

Scenes like these are why we adore Ron Swanson. This Sunday, we plan to honour him by chowing down as many bacon and eggs as we can. While we’re fine with eating them plain, we thought we’d get a little fancy and share a bacon and egg cup recipe with you; have it for brunch and get a taste of living life Ron Swanson style.

- 6 eggs
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 ounce cheese
- salt as required
- Pepper as required
Ingredients

- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a muffin and cupcake pan with slices of bacon.
- Crack an egg into each hole lined with bacon.
- Sprinkle each cup with salt, pepper and cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes until the egg is done.
- Take the pan out of the oven and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
- Pop the cakes out of the pan and serve.
