    Ingredients
    
                - 2 sticks unsalted butter
 - 3 cups all purpose flour
 - 1 tbsp baking powder
 - 1/2 tsp Salt
 - 1 1/4 cups sugar
 - 4 large eggs
 - 1 tbsp vanilla extract
 - 1 1/4 cups whole milk

    Instructions
    
                - Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F. Butter two 9 inch cake pans and line parchment paper.
 - Dust the pans with flour.
 - Whisk the flour, baking powder and salt together.
 - Beat the butter and sugar together for three minutes.
 - Gently beat in the eggs, one by one.
 - Beat in the vanilla and then the flour mixture and milk.
 - Pour the batter into the pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
 - Allow to cool on a rack for ten minutes.
 - Serve.
