Chef Ranveer Brar And Prachi Desai Board The Thank God Its Fryday Express
Last week, Zoom, the flagship Bollywood and Lifestyle Channel of Times Network and Phillips announced the launch of the third season of Thank God It’s Fryday. In season three, Chef Ranveer Brar and Prachi Desai take a trip through India to discover some regions’ best loved recipes and recreate them with a healthy spin.
Thank God Its Fryday
Thank God Its Fryday was created in 2014 as an initiative from Zoom and Phillips to explore healthy eating as well as lifestyle related topics.
Season 2, for instance, focused on a fusion between cooking and photography and had local fried dishes given a healthy appeal thanks to Chef Ranveer cooking them in a Phillips Air Fryer. It also had a ramp show where models wore clothes inspired by dishes.
Season Three Of TGIF
Season three will see Chef Brar along with 8 celebrity buddies, travelling to Mumbai, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gurgaon, Varanasi, Kolkata, Vadora and Indore on the TGIF Express to discover trademark delicacies of the cities and recreate them on the go with the Phillips Airfryer, which guarantees the same taste but with 80% less oil.
Commenting on the show, Chef Ranveer Brar said, “TGIF gets even more fun this time around as I go treasure-hunting in my TGIF Express across 8 legendary cities to find the favourite dishes of my dear friends. I will be recreating those dishes with a healthy twist, but the flavour will still take them down memory lane. After all, for us, Indian Food is the real treasure!”
Ashit Kukian, President-Revenue at Times Network, added, “Looking at the success of Season 1 and 2, and with the demand for more from our foodie viewers, we are pleased to announce the new season which is a treasure recipe-hunt. The show offers a lot of tadka and twist in each recipe and it promises to offer the most delicious and treasured fried food of each city which can be made healthy with the use of Philips Airfryer. We promise viewers will have a more engaging, mouth watering and an exciting ride on the TGIF Express 3.0.”
