Head To Uppercut For Outdoor Views, Beers, & Live Grills
The Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center just opened its doors this year, and we couldn’t wait to see the new foodie experiences they brought to the table. After hearing rave reviews about Uppercut, their outdoor, live grill restaurant, we were extremely excited to try out the cuisine at this brand-new dining destination!
We were wowed by the gorgeous ambiance of the outdoor space, and the mouth-watering scent of live grills being served up! Since Uppercut is only open for dinner, the weather was absolutely lovely as well with the lovely dark green awnings serving up bistro realness!
We started off with a delicious beetroot tartare with feta cheese as the amuse-bouche and we couldn’t get enough of the tart tartare combined with the creamy feta – the perfect way to start our meal! We then moved on to the parmesan soup with burnt garlic, and were definitely blown away by the delicateness of the flavors that we honestly couldn’t stop eating!
Uppercut is also home to some amazing wood-fired pizza, all fresh of course, and after a satisfying soup, the vegetarian pizza was a perfect treat! Next, we decided to try out the platters. We started off with the Indian platter and immensely enjoyed the spicy, perfectly grilled chicken tikka, as well as the layered paneer kebab – it melted in the mouth and quintessentially combined tikka flavors. Another dish that we found pretty interesting was the Soya Chaap kebab, all the vegetarians (and aspiring vegetarians) would definitely need to try this one!
The continental platter was next on the menu and we profusely enjoyed the minute steaks, and the delicious mahi-mahi (a pleasant change from basa). The grilled pineapple was also surprisingly good, and we were left impressed by the variety available for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
We ended our meal with a delicious fig tart topped with a quenelle of cream and brittle for a bit of crunch! On that note, we’d have to say that if you’re looking for a place with views, grills, and beers then you’d have to make a visit to Uppercut!
