Hot Chocolate with Old Monk Recipe
Frankly, there is no particular weather for savouring a big mug of hot chocolate. But hot chocolate with a generous dash of Old Monk? Now, that calls for a pleasant chill in the air and a little bit of festivities in the air and around the corner. The hot chocolaty rum-induced drink is perfect for lazy evening when you crave a little coco and some high.
Follow this recipe to kick back with a mug of hot chocolate poisoned with the heady ol’ Monk and huddle up with some Netflix and a blanket. *cries at the perfection*

    Ingredients
    
                - 5 cups ½whole milk
- cup ½heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Old Monk or any other dark rum
- 9 ounces bittersweet chocolate coarsely chopped, 250g
- whipped cream optional

    Instructions
    
                - In a saucepan, combine the milk, cream and rum and bring to a simmer over moderate heat.
- Remove the pan from the heat, add the chocolate and let it melt.
- Whisk until smooth and pour into warmed mugs.
- Top the hot chocolate with whipped cream.
