Lady and the Tramp Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe
Disney movies are filled with warm moments, exciting characters and drool-worthy food scenes. One of our favourite food moments is in Lady and the Tramp – yes, you guessed it – the romantic spaghetti scene. In this scene, Lady and the Tramp share a plate of spaghetti at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, where they are serenaded by the owner and unexpectedly kiss while eating the same strand of spaghetti. Adorably, Tramp even pushes over the last meatball to Lady.
Here’s a bit of trivia for you: Walt Disney wanted to cut out the spaghetti scene as he didn’t think it wold be romantic – he believed that the audience may find dogs eating spaghetti a little ridiculous. However, Frank Thomas, the animator showed Disney the final animated scene and impressed him enough to keep the scene in. Today, it’s one of the most iconic moments in the movie.
