Popular Indian food brand, MTR Foods has just launched a new range of foods in its breakfast portfolio; Breakfast in a Cup.
About MTR Foods
Established in 1924, MTR Foods began with the MTR Restaurant run by the Maiya family in Bangalore. After establishing an immensely popular restaurant, thanks to its unique, authentic dishes, the Maiyas went on to release instant mixes and packaged foods in 1975.
In 2007, MTR Foods became a part of Orkla, a Norwegian company. Today, it has an expansive product portfolio that includes sweet mixes, masala powders, ready to eat foods, masala pastes, ready to cook foods and snack mixes.
Breakfast in a Cup
With the launch of their ‘Breakfast in a Cup’ products, MTR Foods has expanded its breakfast portfolio.
The Breakfast in a Cup range includes upma and poha; two of India’s most popular traditional breakfasts. Consumers simply have to add hot water to the cups, allow them to sit for three minutes and then enjoy the quickly cooked poha or upma.
For convenience’s sake the cups also come with a disposable spoon, making them perfect on-the-go breakfast options.
There are three variants of the product; Poha, Khatta Meetha Poha and Upma, which are available for Rs. 45 in 80 gram cups.
