Baked Mac And Cheese Recipe

Ingredients
- 250 grams of macaroni
- 3 tbsp of butter
- 3 tbsp of flour
- 1 tbsp of powdered mustard
- 3 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of diced onion
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1/2 tsp of paprika
- 1 large egg
- 350 grams of shredded cheese
- 1 tsp of Salt

- 3 tbsp of butter
- 1 cup of bread crumbs

For the topping
- Melt the butter in a pan and add the bread crumbs
For the macaroni
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
- In a large pot, cook the pasta in salted water
- In a separate pan, melt the butter and whisk in the flour and mustard
- Slowly add the milk and keep whisking
- Add onion, bayleaf and paprika
- Cook on low heat for 10 minutes
- Add the beaten egg
- Stir in 3/4 of the cheese and season with salt and pepper
- Remove from heat and pour the macaroni into a casserole
- Top it with the remaining cheese
- Add the bread crumb mixture on top
- Bake for 30 minutes
- Remove from the oven and serve
