McDonalds Style Fries Recipe
Whether you love or hate McDonald’s burgers or their all day breakfasts, everyone agrees that their fries reign supreme. Crispy, hot and golden, fries are an accompaniment to almost every other McDonald’s dish and all customers agree that they’re well worth the price.
The Secret To McDonald’s Fries
While McDonald’s would never reveal its recipe for the fries, it has revealed bits and pieces in the past few years. McDonald’s fries are made using a special variety of potatoes and the recipe contains 19 ingredients. Take a look at the video that McDonald’s’ USA released below:
We don’t expect you to have the facilities that McDonald’s has to produce these fries. But, by following this recipe, you can make fries that are just as delicious; have them as a side to lunch and dinner or as a snack through the day.

- 2 russet potatoes
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1 1/2 cups Water
- 6 cups peanut oil
- 1/4 cup peanut oil
- 1/4 cup beef lard or vegetable shortening
- 2 tbsp Salt
Ingredients

- Peel the potatoes and julienne into four by six inch long strips.
- Combine the corn syrup and water and soak the strips in this mixture.
- Head the peanut oil in a deep fryer.
- Take the fries out of the solution and pat dry.
- Partially fry them for 1 1/2 minutes.
- Take out of the fryer and drain on a paper tow.
- Refrigerate for twenty minutes.
- Add the lard to the remaining peanut oil ad golden fry the frozen fries for 5-7 minutes.
- Drain on a paper towel and then toss with salt.
- Serve and enjoy.
