Mother’s Day Mimosa Cocktail Recipe
Happy Mother’s Day foodies! Today should be a day when you go all out to pamper your mother – we’re talking spa treatments, shopping trips, a possible road trip and of course, great food. Start Mother’s Day with serving her breakfast in bed and follow that up with a late lunch and delicious dinner. With both lunch and dinner, crack open a bottle of champagne to toast your mother. If you want to take things a step further, we suggest tapping into your mixology skills and making mom a mimosa; a popular champagne cocktail.
The Mimosa
The mimosa is a sparkling wine based cocktail, made with equal parts citrus fruit juice and chilled sparkling wine. It is served in a champagne flute, often at weddings and brunches.
The juice and the wine combine to create a pleasant taste, while the wine gives the mimosa a fizz creating a fun texture.
Serve the mimosa with brunch, lunch or dinner.
