The Sandlot S’Mores Recipe
On August 10th, America celebrated National S’mores Day; a full day devoted to the gooey delights that are a popular camping treat. S’mores or smores are made by stuffing graham crackers with a layer of chocolate and a fire roasted marshmallow.
S’mores are extremely popular in American culture – so much so that this year the Girl Scouts announced that they’re creating two new cookie flavours inspired by s’mores. Another place that s’mores feature is in ‘The Sandlot’, a coming of age film about basketball.
S’mores In The Sandlot
One memorable scene in the film is when Scotty Smalls gets introduced to s’mores for the first time at an overnighter thanks to Ham Porter:

According to Porter, this is how you make s’mores:
“Okay, pay attention. First you take the graham. You stick the chocolate on the graham. Then, you roast the mallow. When the mallow’s flaming, you stick it on the chocolate. Then you cover it with the other end. Then, you stuff.”
Well, he’s got it pretty spot on, but we thought we’d go into a little more detail with this recipe. Have these s’mores at your next sleepover, camping trip or movie night.
