Schalke Is Offering Fans A Round Of Free Beer For Their Season Opener
Football fans around the world have breathed a collective sigh of relief that the football season has begun again. However, one football club is stepping it up. Schalke, a Bundesliga side, is offering free beer to all fans above the age of 16 for their season opener against RB Leipzig on Sunday. Yes, you read that correctly, free beer!
Schalke is keen to repay fans for a disappointing last season and this gesture is just a small part of that. Each fan will be given a voucher with their match day ticket, and can cash it in to receive their reward for loyal support.

The club’s twitter account gladly declared that this was the ‘largest free beer round of the Bundesliga.’ With around 55,000 fans packed into the Veltins-Arena, the gesture won’t come cheap, but the beer will definitely keep spirits high (literally), showing the Brits exactly how it should be done.
We think the Germans have definitely taken this round.
