Taco Bell Is Testing What They Call Volcano Crispy Chicken Chips In Tennessee
Taco Bell is kicking off 2017 with a bang! They’re constantly introducing new items onto their menu and they’re always giving their customers in select cities a chance to try something new. Recently, they started testing Loaded Fries in Irvine, California.
Now they’re adding something called Volcano Crispy Chicken Chips. For those who loved and lost the Lava Sauce, here’s your chance to experience it all over again. The chips are in the shape of a tortilla chip, but made with crispy-fried marinated white chicken. And the lava sauce comes with every six piece order, but if you don’t want an explosion of spice in your mouth, then you can settle for nacho cheese or spicy ranch sauce instead.
For those wondering, the Lava Sauce is a spicy, cheesy mayo-based sauce that will definitely set your mouth on fire. And note that the chips are already coated in spice, so you might want to take it a little easy with all the spiciness.
Unfortunately for the lot of you reading this and preparing to go to your nearest Taco Bell, this is only being tested in Knoxville, Tennessee, so everyone is just going to have to wait till it spreads into the other restaurants.
And if you’re not a big fan of the chips, you can also get the Volcano Chickstar which is a Crunchwrap stuffed with the Volcano Crispy Chicken Chips with the lava sauce. It’s not for the faint-hearted.
The Chickstar is priced at $2.99 while the Crispy Chicken Chips are priced at $1.99 for six pieces and $3.99 for 12 pieces, which includes two dips.
