7 Things You Can Feed Your Cat!

on

Dogs are flexible but cats don’t accept table scraps. They are too sophisticated and delicate for your leftovers. Apart from getting their whiskers drenched in milk, they also go for other food groups. However supervise the portions. Here’s a tip: Cats often meow for approval and flash their fangs to showcase disagreement. Now you’re good to go ahead with the rest of the post!

Meat-

chicken

Simply put cats are inarguably meat lovers. They have to consume meat to load up on protein content that’ll help their heart, vision, and will ensure a healthy reproductive system. Cooked beef, chicken, turkey, and lean deli meats are a great way to give them that. Raw or under-cooked meat can make your cat revolt. They won’t like it and quite frankly it could make them sick. Would you fancy underdone meat? No. Yeah the feline community thought so too.

Whole Grains-

Oatmeal

Oats have a high protein content per serving and they are easy to prepare. Many cats like corn, and polenta, a coarsely ground cornmeal, has a good texture for them. You can boil and mash brown rice, barley or wheat. Cats tend to like smaller grains like millet and couscous. Make sure the grains are cooked thoroughly so it does not affect your cat’s digestion.

Eggs-

Eggs

Eggs are a supreme source of protein for cats. Make sure the egg is fully boiled because raw food will earn you some serious cat hate. Do you want that?

Vegetables and Fruits-

Spinach

Like tiny humans, cats are picky about their vegetables and they’ll often fake sniffle in front of you to avoid eating them. Don’t fall for it, though. Some vegetables are good for them because they’re a rich source of vitamins, and they’re loaded with fiber and water to help with digestion. Boil the vegetables and add salt to taste because as we all know cats have a refined pallet! The one fruit that is indeed healthy for them is Banana. They genuinely love bananas. Also Spinach!

Cheese-

Cheese is again a protein based food. Cats are intolerant to many things. Like humans, other creatures, other cats too. But if they are lactose intolerant then make sure you feed them minuscule portions of cheese to see how their system reacts to it. If they walk away swivelling their tails then cheese is without a doubt a reject food. Sorry, cheese. I love you, tho.

Fish-

Salmon

Fish has a high omega-3 fatty acid content that’ll keep your cat’s eyes sharp. It’ll improve their night vision and enable them to scare you better. You can used canned fish like tuna and salmon. Not sushi. Cats don’t approve of things from Japan. Just kidding.

Bread-

They know the value of a good toast like we do. They love the smell and crunch of a good whole loaf. No, not really. But it is proven to be good for feline health so go forth and feed them without apprehension!
