Disneyland Just Got Its Very Own Brewery
Who said Disneyland is just for kids? The popular theme park just got a grown-up twist with its latest boozy addition – an in-house brewery. That’s right, you can now get high on more than just fun at Disneyland!
Ballast Point, a San Diego-based brewing company, recently announced their arrival at Disneyland. “We’re bringing Ballast Point to the happiest place on earth! That’s right, our next location is in the #DowntownDisneyDistrict at @disneyland in Anaheim, marking the first-ever on-site brewery for Disney”, the brewery announced in an Instagram post. The company added that it will be inaugurating an R&D brewery, a tasting room, and a restaurant and beer garden in the Downtown Disney District later this year.
Adult-Friendly Place
With this move, Disneyland may just have upped its footfall with older family members being attracted by the brewery, which is a 7,300-square-foot space that will house an outdoor beer garden, where visitors will be able to taste beer brewed on site. The establishment will have a food menu to pair with the brews. Paying homage to the brewery’s hometown, the food will draw inspiration from San Diego’s cuisine. So, you can expect some super burritos, tacos, and BBQ grubs at the restaurant!
“We are thrilled to welcome Ballast Point to Downtown Disney. Our Guests are constantly asking for a new and innovative dining experience, and Ballast Point’s selection of award-winning beers, locally inspired cuisine and friendly atmosphere make them a perfect fit”, Disney California Adventures and Downtown Disney’s Vice President, Patrick Finnegan said in a statement.
This will not be the first set up on the family-friendly premise that will be serving alcohol in the California-based theme park. The announcement comes just months after the park made way for its first wine cellar, Wine Bar George on its premise in September last year.
