Burger King Has Launched A Creation Called The Whopperrito In The US
After having successfully wooed customers with their Angriest Whopper (which they recently brought to India), the Burger King scientists appear to be testing their luck with a new product; The Whopperrito.
The Whopperrito
Yup, you figured it out; the Whopperrito is what would happen if the Whopper and a burrito got married and had babies. Obscenely stuffed, unhealthy babies.
The Whopper (in its classic form) is a hamburger, made with a flame grilled quarter pound beef patty, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and a sliced onion all in a sesame seed bun.
So, the Whopperrito takes all the Whopper ingredients – the cheese, meat, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and so on and wraps them in a tortilla wrap – similar, one Twitter user pointed out, to what would happen if you wrapped a Whopper in a Taco Bell taco.
The Whopperrito was first reported on by GrubGrade which saw an ad for the product in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
The Reactions
As with any new product from a fast food player, the internet is going crazy about the Whopperrito. Consumerist titled their article on the Whopperito as ‘The End Is Nigh: Burger King Is Testing Something Called The Whopperito” while Time has called it “the unholy offspring of a cheeseburger and a burrito.”
Meanwhile, here’s what Twitter thinks:

@BurgerKing the Whopperito sounds like the Jersey Boys finally met West side story. Worst name ever.

What do you think? Are you drooling at the thought of a Whopperrito? Or is there nothing you want less?
