Here’s What To Expect From Chef Ranveer Brar’s New Vegetarian Restaurant In Mumbai
Celebrity Chef Ranveer Brar has just launched a new restaurant in Mumbai’s Kamala Mills; TAG Gourmart Kitchen. The restaurant boasts several innovative approaches from being pure vegetarian to being housed on the second floor of India’s first amateur art gallery (TAG).
The Fare
Back in January, in a talk with Hindustan Times, Brar revealed what food lovers could expect from the restaurant saying “There is a lot of scope for vegetarian food in Mumbai, but the representation has been very Indian. All the ingredients will be locally sourced and the wines on the menu will be organic. “We want to break the myth that only non-vegetarian food pairs well with alcohol.”
The restaurant, therefore has an extensive collection of fine wines. Meanwhile, the food menu includes dishes like a kale and mushroom cappuccino, tea smoked tofu, mock duck vindaloo, watermelon sashimi, and konyakkuyaki – a Japanese street food with julienned seaweed and julienned curry leaves.
Gourmart promises to give patrons a vegetarian, unique dining experience; it’s now open to the public so be sure to call for a reservation.
