Known for his role in Chicago P.D. and As The World Turns, actor Jesse Lee Soffer now has another feather to add his hat. The soap opera star will soon also be known as ‘restaurant owner’ as he is opening a Verlaine cocktail lounge in Los Angeles.
Soffer announced the big opening on Instagram this weekend with a happy picture oh his partners and himself on New Year’s Eve. “HAPPY NEW YEAR! It has been a lifelong dream to own a piece of a restaurant,” he posted of the cocktail lounge, which also has an outlet in New York City. “I always figured, ‘maybe when I’m sixty I’ll have a little speak easy or a bistro.’ Well we freakin did it. We are so excited to show this place off.”

Needless to say, the 32-year-old actor ushered in 2017 at his new restaurants. He also posted all that his crew and him had for New Year’s Eve. Soffer was generous enough to even give his Instagram followers a virtual sneak peek of the establishment, which has been designed by Select Hospitality Design and David Vincent. Though still in its completion phase, the place looks nothing short of classy. Complete with black and white checkered flooring, Verlaine also packs a jazzy punch with unique light fixtures and an outdoor area.
The place is expected to be open to the public in the next few weeks, the actor added.
