A Trip Down Culture Lane At The Surajkund Crafts Mela, Delhi

on

Every culture and food enthusiast in Delhi awaits February with baited breath. The month brings along with it the annual Surajkund International Crafts Mela. Started in 1987, the mela or fair is a colorful cocktail of arts and crafts from India and around the world including the subcontinents neighbors Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan and many more.

The fete defines a theme country every year. This year it was the newborn Indian state Telangana that showcased an array of cultural programs.

Venturing more towards our area of interest, the mela’s food court, managed to sweep us off our feet once again this year. The food court is mushroomed by a number of kiosks and stalls rolling out different cuisines from around India. Take a look at our Surajkund food adventure!

Venue: Surajkund, Faridabad

Date: Monday, 1st February – Monday, 15th February
