Air India VIP Lounge Serves Food With Cockroach To Journalist, Apologises On Social Media
Haven been faced with the flak for not serving non-vegetarian food on domestic flights, catering issues haven’t stopped to seize for Air India. A report by NDTV says that a customer found cockroach in her food served at the VIP lounge by Air India at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The customer, Harinder Baweja who works as a journalist tweeted about the incident along with a picture of the cockroach on her plate. She mentioned that she was disgusted with the service. Air India in response to the tweet duly apologised to the customer promising a corrective measure.
Ma'am we have alerted the agency managing lounge at T3. Necessary corrective measures are being taken immediately. We deeply apologise for this incident.

An airline source told NDTV that Air India subsidiary Hotel Corporation of India which is also manages the Centaur group of hotels is the caterer at the lounge. The airlines has also been working on reinventing its menu for its international flights.
