Aziz Ansari Took His Emmys Trophy To This Restaurant
The weekend that went by saw a massive star-studded gala in Los Angeles, a.k.a. the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which hosted and honoured a number of popular television stars. The awards ceremony was followed by one of 2017’s most epic after-parties – the Emmys Governor Ball.
Although the Governor Ball dinner featured a lavish three-course spread, comedian Aziz Ansari – who took home an Emmy for his writing on the Netflix comedy Master of None – decided to celebrate his victory with some burger and fries at In-N-Out.
The 34-year-old actor was spotted at an In-N-Out outlet in LA on Sunday night. And the best part? He carried his trophy into the restaurant, catching a dozen extra eyeballs. Among many other on-lookers, Twitter user @aritweets also spotted the comedian placing an order at the eatery and shot a quick video with Ansari as well. “So this just happened, looked to my left. Saw an Emmy. Looked up, saw @azizansari,” he wrote. “CONGRATS MAN!!”

Ansari along with his co-star Lena Waithe bagged the award for outstanding writing for a comedy series honor, which marked his second Emmy win and Waithe’s first. Fun fact, 33-year-old Waithe is now the first-ever black woman to receive an Emmy for comedy writing!
