It’s a known fact that bacon makes everything better. And while lots of restaurants won’t serve you bacon or even have it on their menus, here are some in Chennai that do serve, plus recommendations based on what’s really good on their menus.

And if you don’t eat pork, fear not, there is always a solution for you. Fortunately for non-pork eaters, lots of restaurants in the city have substitutes. You can either treat yourself to Turkey or Chicken bacon. (Relax Bacon Nazis!) It’s not like eating the real thing, but it does do the job when you’re craving it.

Double Roti

This is the burger joint Chennai has been waiting for. And not only are their burgers amazing and their menu extensive, they are pretty lavish with their bacon servings. Try The Great Gatsby (Rs. 295) or Porkerface (Rs. 295) and why not order a portion of the bacon & cheese fries (Rs. 185) just because?

Pantry d’Or

This café in Anna Nagar has become a staple of the area and the city. They’re known for pretty much everything under the sun, especially their breakfasts! So what should you be eating? The Chicken Bacon Sandwich (Rs. 140) or the Mixed Grill Platter for a group (Rs. 480).

Jonah’s Bistro

One of the great things about Jonah’s is that they’re open late. And also they serve (turkey) bacon. If you’re there for breakfast, give the English Breakfast Combo (Rs. 350) a go, or the Turkey Bacon Wrapped Chicken (Rs. 275).

Ciclo Cafe

This cycle-themed restaurant in Kotturpuram does not hold back when it comes to their bacon servings. Started by Chef Willi, Tuscana has been around a while and they’ve built up quite the reputation for themselves. And their food? It has improved drastically, so make sure you go visit them again. Now, back to bacon. You can make your own pizza and have it be solely bacon or try any of their non-veg pastas.

L’amandier

If you’re looking for somewhere to stuff your face with all the continental food you can find, L’amandier in RA Puram is the place for you. Plus, their breakfasts are to die for and when they give you bacon, it’s a whole damn bowl! And they’ve also got Crisp Bacon Rashers, which is a combination of all our favourite things in one.

Sandy’s Chocolate Laboratory

The combination of chocolate and bacon is to die for and while there are no dishes that combine the two at Sandy’s, you can still get your fill of both. Their All Day Breakfasts come with bacon rashers, they also have a sandwich known as the Bagel Bomb (Rs.450) which is loaded with bacon and other meats or you know you want to eat a little ‘healthier’, go with the Greek Salad (with bacon for Rs. 325).
