“Through every season of World on a Plate, this being the 4th one; we have aimed at pledging for 1,00,000 meals in association with HUG Foundation, for underprivileged children in different parts of India,” said Kiran Soans (CEO of Gold Rush Entertainment). “We want to spread this message of providing a meal to every kid and eradicating hunger. These kids from HUG foundation are budding chefs. We created this event so that these kids have a once-in-a-lifetime gourmet experience and I am so grateful to all the chefs, Media and Bloggers who came and supported World on A Plate with so much excitement and eagerness to contribute their bit to the cause. The smile on every kid’s face was priceless.’’
The event was abuzz with excitement as the top chefs present here took up the mystery box challenge. They were divided into four teams and each had to make a dish for the children. Chef Rakhee Vaswani and Ben Ungermann emerged as winners for making Goat Cheese Vanilla Ice-cream along with the team of Chef Jason & Chef Faqi Momin who made Meatballs on Malabari Paratha with Corn and Strawberry Salsa. “I am extremely happy to be a part of this noble initiative started by World on A Plate in association with HUG Foundation. This platform made me experience so much beyond just cooking and it was such a pleasure working with Chef Ben Ungermann as one team. It was a great time meeting everyone as we cooked off to support the same cause. Many thanks to World On A Plate for that,” said Chef Rakhee Vaswani.
