Can Consuming A Vegetarian Hot Dog Lead To Cannibalism?

on

Attention veggie dog consumers, your “vegetarian” sausage might not be meat-free after all. In an almost traumatizing study conducted by Clear Labs, Human DNA was detected in samples of a few hot dog brands.

Don’t make peace with this snippet of information already because what’s even more troubling is the fact that almost two-thirds of the Human DNA infested samples were from apparent vegetarian dogs.Hot-Dogs

This indirectly translates to the fact that we’ve been consuming Human DNA, that is, we are cannibals. Yes, even the vegetarians.

The Hot Dog Report

Clear Labs picked up 345 samples spanning across 75 brands that were sold at 10 retailers including biggies like Walmart, Safeway and Target.

The company used genomic technology to establish a report of the ingredients that went into making the dogs.mini-hot-dogs6

Foul Findings

Of the 345 samples, 14.4% tested positive for some or the other contaminant. According to Clear Food, the Problems included substitutions and hygienic issues. Substitution occurs when ingredients are added that do not show up on the label. Hygienic issues occur when some sort of non-harmful contaminant is introduced to the hot dog, in most cases, human DNA.

Eventhough the report by the company gives crisp and accurate data, it refrains from pointing fingers and pulling up brands in specific. So the vegetarians might as well abstain from eating vegetarian Hot Dogs before any closure on the same is received.Screen Shot 2015-10-27 at 9.02.31 PM
