Celebrate World Food Day With KFC And Feed A Child
The true essence of World Food Day begins with making sure that everyone has their stomachs full especially the children who can’t even afford a meal. This October KFC makes it easier for you to reach out these children who, when you enjoy a KFC bucket, get closer to a meal.
Tell Me More
“Hunger is a critical issue that our country faces and we can make a difference through our collective efforts. The unfortunate reality is that millions of children don’t have access to food, and suffer from diet related illness. These children are unable to grow, thrive and reach their full potentials,” says Rahul Shinde talking about the kids who go to sleep on an empty stomach each night.
Talking about the addHOPE initiative he explains, “As a food company, it is our privilege and responsibility to help fight hunger. Continuing our efforts in this direction, we will contribute upto INR 5/- from the sale of every bucket through the month of October. Through this and contributions from our customers, we are today feeding 14,000+ under privileged children every day, and hope to reach our goal of 20 million meals by 2020.”
How Can I Contribute
KFC has tied up with beneficiaries like India FoodBanking Network (IFBN), SMILE Foundation and ResponseNet. These beneficiaries aim to feed 20 million meals to underprivileged children by 2020. The contribution by KFC through its initiative last year was a whopping 5 million meals. So all you need to do is go get a delicious KFC bucket from any of the Mumbai outlets for yourself and give a helping hand in the contribution to feed more than 14,000 underprivileged children every day. This offer is here till the end of October so buy and bring your friends along as often as possible.
