Until a few years ago, food trucks were a novelty in Mumbai and getting all the licenses and permits required to run one was an incredible pain. Today, however, the city is abound with food trucks that hold court in some of Mumbai’s busiest areas. Here are some of the best the city has to offer:

FoGo

FoGo is a quick service food truck in Dahisar which serves kebabs, hot dogs, burgers, wraps, rolls and sliders.

Tasty Trails

Bombay Food Truck

Currently located at One BKC, the Bombay Food Truck is delighting corporates with its mix of Indian and Continental fare. Some of the quirkier items on the menu include the Chicken Do-nut, which is made up of tandoor cooked shredded chicken in chefs special spices and Butter Chicken Fries.

The Burrrp Machine

They say that burping is a sign of a meal well had. The Burrrp Machine in Andheri Lokhandwala has a range of fast food to get to there from burgers to hot dogs to sweet shakes.

Mother Trucker

Along with your regular hot dogs and burgers, Mother Trucker in Andheri West serves Ethiopian Hummus with Pita & Salad, Subways and Chop Shops.

Mumbai Rolling Kitchen

The Mumbai Rolling Kitchen can be found outside Mindspace on the Thane Belapur road. It serves sandwiches, wraps, burgers and mocktails; try the Strawberry fizz.

Also in Navi Mumbai is The Nomad Food Truck, a quirky truck which serve Indian, Continental and Italian fare.

Big Bite Burrito is arguably Vasai’s first food truck. True to its name it serves a Big Burrito, a Cheesy Chimichanga and a Corn Quesadilla. There’re also Indian snacks, fries and pasta on the menu.
