Chrissy Teigen Is All For This Quick & Simple Cooking Method, And So Are We

on

American model, popular foodie, expert cook, and now mom-of-two, Chrissy Teigen is back to the kitchen shortly after giving birth to baby boy Miles with husband, John Legend. The cookbook author, who has a number of delicious recipes to her name, took to Twitter recently to share the need for “short, simple meals” after having her second child.

“I have never more understood the desire and need for short, simple meals. 1 kid, I was like ‘ok…easier would be nice but I got this’ but 2 kids, holy s— f— any recipe over 5 steps right now”, Teigen, who is also mother to 2-year-old daughter Luna, wrote and quickly followed it up with the answer to her prayer – a new cooking method that she is fascinated with.

The 32-year-old shared a recipe by NY Times and tweeted: “I am fascinated by “sheet pan meals” right now – sides and main cooked on the same temp at the same time on the same pan. New York Times cooking has some of the best.”

Sheet-pan meals or ‘traybakes’ – as they are called on the other side of the Atlantic – are an excellent cooking technique if you want to cook up an elaborate meal with mains and sides but don’t really have that kind of time to spend in the kitchen. As explained by Teigen, the method cuts short the cooking time by preparing all the food in one go! Now that’s something we’re totally going to try out soon. What about you?
