Chennai is bursting at the seams with home bakers, but there’s no such thing as too many home bakers. Nutella Cheesecake

Adding to this list of home bakers is Deepika Rajadas who founded Chubby Cheesecakes a month ago because all she wanted was the perfect slice of cheesecake. “I was disappointed to know that most cheesecakes don’t use actual cheese. They’ve used cream, eggs and colouring and stitched the whole thing up with gelatin,” she says and like her, there are lots more people out there who want to do cheesecake the right way. When asked about why she started her baking business, Deepika said, “Chubby Cheesecakes was born to tell cheesecakes the way they were meant to be told. Buttery crumb crusts, real Cheese fillings and luscious toppings – that’s what we’re all about.”

We tried her cheesecakes recently and let me tell you right now, you can taste the passion that we talked about earlier. Deepika also does birthday cakes, party orders and in her words “caters to normal cheesecake craving moments”.

A buttery crumb crust filled with a creamy New York style cheesecake and baked golden.

Priced: Rs. 1,250 per kilo (22 cm in diameter)

2. Cheesecake Topped Brownie
A decadent brownie layer topped with a cheesecake layer and finished with dark chocolate chips.

Price: Rs. 900 per tray of 15 pieces (6 cm X 6 cm)

3. Nutella Cheesecake
Our classic Real Cheese Cheesecake swirled with a Nutella Cheesecake layer.

4. Strawberry Cheesecake
Our classic Real Cheese Cheesecake topped with a blissful Strawberry puree.

5. Triple Oreo Cheesecake
Oreo crust, Oreo filling and Oreo topped- may we suggest some Oreo garnish too? Our first eggless, no bake creation comes with a white chocolate touch too!

Our classic Real Cheese Cheesecake topped with a delightful Blueberry coulis.

Our classic Real Cheese Cheesecake with a topping of your choice in a cupcake mould. We do assorted boxes too!  (strawberry, chocolate, blueberry or Oreo)
