Coca-Cola India Appoints Sarvitha Sethi As Its First Woman CFO

Global manufacturing giant, Coca-Cola has just announced that it will be appointing Sarvitha Sethi as its first woman CFO (Chief Financial Officer) in India. With this appointment, Coca-Cola joins a collection of major companies that are giving women more prominent positions.

Sethi, who is currently Coca-Cola’s finance Director in Central and South Europe Operations will be replacing Sanjeev Kunar as the brand’s Vice President of Finance in India and South-West Asia. Sethi will be the first woman to be a part of Coca-Cola India President Venkatesh Keni’s team.

Other Indian Appointments

Internationally, Coca-Cola is shuffling other positions; Sethi’s predecessor, Sanjeev Kunar will become Coca-Cola’s finance head for its East and South Africa operations while Sanket Ray, an executive at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages will be shifted to be the General Manager of Coca-Cola Beverages in Vietnam.

Puneet Varshney will transition to be the Managing Director of Bottlers in Nepal and Mayank Arora will become the President of Coca-Cola Beverages in Sri Lanka.

Commenting on the developmenets to the Economic Times, T Krishnakumar, the CEO of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beveragees said “over the last six years, more than 75 Indian executives at Coca-Cola, have found roles outside India, some of them even choosing to come back to India after a successful stint.”
