Ellipsis Launches A New Menu Featuring Chlorophyll Yogurt and Passion Fruit Panna Cotta
Did you have to drag yourself out of bed this morning? We detect a severe case of the Monday blues, especially since Friday was also a holiday for most Mumbaikars – it’s oh so hard to say goodbye to a long weekend. To give yourself some motivation this week, we suggest making a reservation at Ellipsis, one of Colaba’s upscale eateries.
Curated by Chef Phuong Tran, the menu will feature the 100% chlorophyll yogurt, topped with berries and edible flowers – which has been named one of the top 20 dishes in 2016 by Bon Appetit magazine – rice crepes, garlic-butter prawns and passion fruit panna cotta served with an orange consommé and basil syrup. Many of the glazes and sauces that are used to lend large amounts of flavour to the dishes are made using local produce and French methods.
Chef Phuong is a Vietnamese chef raised in New Orleans, who has spent the past decade opening restaurants and pop ups across Southern California which feature ingredients from local farmers and artisans. He has trained under esteemed chefs like Thomas Keller, of the French Laundry and Jean-Georges Vongerichten at Vong.
You can be sure, then, that Ellipsis’ new menu will be something to write home about. Go ahead, make a reservation and chase those Monday blues away.
