McDonald’s India has gone international this monsoon with the launch of a collection of new, world-cuisine inspired products; the Mexican McAloo Tikki, the Lebanese McAloo Tikki and the Mexican Cheesy fries.
Globe-Trotting In McDonald’s
Commenting on new products, Kedar Teny, Director, the Marketing & Digital, McDonald’s India – West & South said, “Since the last two decades, McDonald’s India has embarked on a journey by listening to our customers and responding to their needs, innovate our product offerings to appeal to the local appetite. The new McAloo Tikki variants alongside Mexican Cheesy Fries offer an intercontinental experience to Indians who are seeking global flavours with an Indian twist. It is our constant endeavor to surprise the patrons of Golden Arches and treat them with new dishes which makes them ga-ga over the brands ‘I’m lovin it’ experience.”
With the idea of the “Indian who is seeking global flavors” in mind, McDonald’s took the popular McAloo Tikki and gave it a dose of Mexican cuisine, with jalapenos, tomatoes and a Mexicana marinara sauce as well as a taste of Lebanese flavours with a harissa mayonnaise sauce, gherkins and the aloo patty sandwiched between cornmeal dusted buns.
Meanwhile the Mexican cheesy fries take your regular fries and douse them with a rich, Mexican cheese sauce.
The new burgers will be available at just Rs.39 while the Mexican fries will be available for an additional Rs.20 on the regular medium fries.
The Ad Campaigns
To promote the new products, McDonald’s India got Leo Burnett India on board who produced three TVCs with Oink Films. Take a look:
The new products are available at McDonald’s outlets across West and South India only while stocks last, so you’d better hurry!
