Experience Delectable Asian Flavours At Kuai Kitchen Mumbai

on

Tucked away near the main market of Colaba, Kuai Kitchen serves up sumptuous Asian food that caters beautifully to the Indian palate. With delicacies from a variety of cuisines like Chinese, Japanese and Thai, this place is not to be missed when one speaks of comfort food. Here’s our experience at this tiny yet exquisite restaurant.

Dumplings And Sushi

We started off by ordering the Truffle Edamame Dumpling, Water Chestnut and Corn Dumpling along with Volcano Prawn Tempura Roll. The edamame dumpling was jam packed with flavour and simply melted in the mouth. The corn dumpling too looked gorgeous and was quite tasty. We mopped up the dumplings in no time.

Helping us along with the food were two amazing mocktails – Panda Punch and Panda Passion. Panda Punch had hints of ginger and lemon soda easily cleansing our palate and giving our taste buds a zing. We also enjoyed the fresh watermelon juice in the Panda Passion. With the drinks came our sushi and we have to say that this is one of the best tempura rolls one will find in South Bombay. The prawns were crispy with creamy mayo working beautifully with the flavours of the roll.

Fiery Appetizers

We had two appetizers here at Kuai Kitchen – Thai Pandan Wrapped Chicken with Sweet Sesame Dip and Black Pepper Mushroom. The chicken was well cooked, was juicy and packed with flavour. Once you’ve had a taste of the chicken bites, you won’t be able to stop before you’ve finished them all. The same story was with the Black Pepper Mushroom. Fiery as it was being tossed with bell peppers and just the right amount of soy, the mushrooms were delectable with the pepper power that ticks all the boxes for an umami experience.

Mains And Dessert

For mains we chose to have something which is comfort food for us – Thai Green Curry with Rice. Beautifully cooked in a luscious coconut cream, the Thai flavours of galangal, kaffir lime and the chili simply stood out. Just the way a good Thai green curry should be. We were satiated at this point but we knew that where the meals are this great, there’s got to be an awesome dessert too.

So it was! The Chocolate Panda Baos were not only adorable with tiny chocolate faces on them, we loved the concept of chocolate in a bao. The baos are the size of a dumpling and the chocolate oozes out as soon as you break them open. Simply luscious and marvellous to devour. The dessert completed what was a lovely dining experience at Kuai Kitchen. We’ve gone there after our experiential as well and plan to visit again soon. Do head here if you live near Colaba and are craving a lovely Asian meal.
