Fancy Some Sake or Soba? The Cool Box Service Got You Covered!
As Indians, we’ve become increasingly experimental when it comes to food choices. Blame it on the internet or on the rise of millennials but there is just no disputing that our tastes have been broadened. However, we’re not always able to access ingredients of our favorite cuisines. If you’re a fan of Japanese food cheer up because the cool box service means that you’ll be able to get your favorite sake ferried all the way from Japan.
According to ETRetail, India Post and Japan Post will start a postal service that will allow the Japanese community in India to order their favourite food from back home.
“Japan invested USD 4.7 billion in India in 2016-17 which is 80 per cent higher than last year. Now, Japan is the third largest investor in India… And, looking at this investment, one can anticipate that in times to come, besides the business ties, people-to-people ties would also grow,” Modi said.
And now, through the partnership of the two postal services, the “cool box service” is going to be started, so that the Japanese people in India can order their food straight from Japan, he said. Modi also appealed to Japanese nationals in India to open more restaurants in India featuring their traditional cuisine.
Looks like the talks between India and Japan went very well, especially for the foodies!
