Find Out What The Stars Ate At The 74th Golden Globes
The Golden Globes 2017 have left millions in awe of not just the entertainment industry but also of the people who make the industry what it is. Case in point, Meryl Streep and Viola Davis. So it does not come as a surprise that all the wonderful stars were served nothing short of a royal feast at the Globes. Starting from a 5-star champagne cocktail to a trifecta of desserts, here’s a quick look at the lavish multi-course menu served to the stars at the 74th Golden Globe Awards held this weekend.
Starting with the aforementioned cocktail, which was concocted by actress Olivia Culpo, the evening started with a bubbly blend of Champagne with orange liqueur, bitters and rock candy for garnish. Otherwise known as the Moët Diamond.
Moving on, dinner was a three-course lavish spread based on the theme “Italian meets California”, immaculately put together by Beverly Hilton’s Alberico Nunziata. The culinary expert put together a gorgeous salad, a meat-rich main, and a dreamy dessert platter for the guests.
The first course saw a vibrant and absolutely beautiful ‘Golden Salad’, which seemed just about right, given the dazzling event. Complete with watermelon radish, arugula, grapefruit, and crumbled goat cheese, and chopped beetroots, this salad looked as exotic as it seems easy to toss at home. Only, we won’t have Ryan Gosling eating it.
Moving on, the second course, that is, the main course was a sumptuous portion of sea bass and filet mignon. There was also porcini risotto paired with the filet and sun-dried tomato pesto placed delicate atop the sea bass. And given the long guest list, it didn’t surprise us when a source revealed that there were 800 pounds of sea bass, 4,000 pounds of vegetables, and 600 pounds of filet mignon reserved for the 1,300 guests. Okay, we lied. Mind is blown.
And to seal the star-studded affair, chef Thomas Henzi served up a platter bejewelled with three gorgeous dessert preparations, namely, Nutella mousse, profiteroles on dark chocolate, and almond cake with orange mascarpone cream.
Seriously though, where do we sign up for acting classes?!
