Food news for pooches, Heads up for tails’ cookies are here
Heads up for tails or HUFT is the reason your pooches should be wagging those cute little tails right now. We had a chat with Rashi Sanon Narang founder of HUFT about her online and offline store, love for everything ‘pet’ and delicious cookies that are so p’awfect.
Tell us about your new cookies
We introduced them a month ago. There are a lot of dog biscuits in the market- all made of tons of flour and preservatives. We wanted to make something that was affordable, wholesome and healthy. We wanted to use top human-grade ingredients and give them a distinguished flavour. The market is full of non-vegetarian treats- and most people give their dogs Parle-G, which is really not what your pooch should be eating.
After months of samples and feeding our pooches, our friend’s pooches our new cookies, we came out with our winning formula. The cookies are definitely drool-worthy and have a shelf life of 9 months.
How many people are involved in HUFT?
We have 15 people working with us. We have a store in Saket and our online store delivers to anywhere in India.
What are your other offerings?
Our stores have a range of pet care products, pet food, clothes and kennels. We do fresh doggy birthday cakes using dog-friendly ingredients and offer personalised products. We house many brands but these cookies are our first home brand.
One of our favourite offerings is a Wag Box. Anyone can subscribe for it and tell us about their dogs- likes, dislikes and habits. We source the right products for him or her and send it over as a surprise. We’re quite excited about this one.
What does the future see?
We want to launch many treats. We’re always sampling super-healthy, affordable somethings and look to bring more of them into the market.
Take a p-ow, Rashi, because I decided to try some of your yummy cookies for my pooch, Berry; and what d’you know? She can’t stop at one- the expression says it all.
I ordered the Apple Cinnamon one- because Berry can’t stop ogling at my apple pie.
Their cookies are available in pumpkin and carrots, mint and fennel, banana and oats and of course, Berry’s favourite, apple and cinnamon flavours. They’re super-healthy for your puppies and made of dried fruit. They are priced at Rs 149 a jar and come in the most adorable shapes. Head to heads up for tails right now, they’re selling like hot cakes.
