Get Your Jive On With ‘Whisky Samba’ In Gurgaon

NCR’s west most chunk, Gurgaon, has been soaring high on the hospitality and food and beverage front. After two major food hubs by Bharti Realty and DLF Builders, and a number of other food and recreational ventures, the Gurgaon is now home to a whiskey lovers’ paradise, Whisky Samba. The restaurant prides itself with a progressive ingredient based menu and a bar offering 180 different types of whisky and whisky based cocktails at the Horizon Centre.

After the soaring success of revolutionary establishments like Antares in Goa with celebrity Chef Sarah Todd and The Wine Company, the restaurateurs- Ashish Kapur and Joydeep Singh are bringing back the fun in drinking whisky. Talking about his latest venture, Ashish Dev Kapur, the Director and Brand Ambassador, Whisky Samba said, “The finest experience around wine was achieved with The Wine Company; and with Antares, Goa we offered star Chef Sarah Todd’s modern Australian take, with Asian influences in the menu.

Explaining the Whisky Samba menu, which offers a variety including charcoal grills, juicy burgers, and an Italian spread, Kapur said, “through Whisky Samba, we make local ingredients the hero of our menu, which is truly an ode to progressive cooking styles from around the world. We at Whisky Samba are not defined by cuisine but by the quality of product being offered ranging from a variety of chargrilled meats, gourmet burgers and a Peruvian inspired raw bar.”

Spanning over a sprawling area of 6000 sq. ft., the place packs an interesting décor featuring a blend of contemporary as well as old world charm with long tapas tables and leather accents adding a pop of color to the otherwise black and white interiors. Complete wit Parisian inspired canopies in the al fresco seating outside the restaurant, the ambience is relaxed yet super glam.
