A Golden Girls Themed Restaurant Is Coming to New York City

on

New York is the home of all kinds of restaurants, cuisines and pop culture references. A Tim Burton themed restaurant opened recently in the city and now joining the gang is the Golden Girls themed restaurant that is opening this September.

Named Rue La Rue Café, the concept was put together by Michael J. LaRue, a close friend of late actress Rue McClanahan (who played the infamous Blanche). LaRue has plans to decorate the café with memorabilia that he inherited from McClanahan.

On the menu will be soups, wraps, salads, desserts, baked treats and wine. And it is said that Betty White (who played Rose on the show) will be in attendance for the restaurant’s Washington Heights location in Manhattan.

Another restaurant inspired by a hit 90s television show is the Saved By The Bell pop-up that was in Chicago recently. And that’s not all, a Friends inspired café opened in Kolkata recently, making it one of the few television show inspired restaurants in the country.
